On July 3, 2012, iFoster was invited to participate in the White House Forum for Citizen-Based Social Innovators. The Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation in coordination with the Office of Public Engagement invited several civic organizations to participate in a forum discussing the important role that citizen innovation plays in expanding opportunity and addressing social issues. Senior Administration officials as well as leading citizen-based social innovators from around the country came together for this event. This was the inaugural session for a new series of conversations at the White House over the summer to explore the topic of social innovation. 

On July 2, 2012, iFoster founders Reid & Serita Cox met with representatives from the Congressional Caucus on Foster Youth to deliver feedback collected from 186 iFoster community members and discussed ways to address the needs of foster/adoptive/guardian/kinship caregivers and the vulnerable children and youth they are raising.
