Mayor Ras J. Baraka, West Ward Councilman Joseph McCallum and Newark CEDC host their Annual Toys & Coats Holiday Spectacular
NEWARK, NJ – Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Newark Community Economic Development Corporation (Newark CEDC) President and CEO Otis Rolley and West Ward Councilman Joseph McCallum partner to give back to the community during their annual Toys & Coats Holiday Spectacular.
Local businesses, community leaders and faith-based organizations gathered together to offer toys, coats, hats, gloves and food donations to area children in need. Activities include music, dancing, pictures with Santa and more. The event celebrates the season of giving, while supporting residents and underprivileged children with a holiday party that also provides them with the necessities of winter clothing and food.
The celebration will take place at the newly-renovated, west-side Center of Hope Community Center.
