Make a Move For Hunger
THE MAVINS GROUP PARTNERS WITH THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SENIOR MOVE MANAGERS AND MOVE FOR HUNGER TO MAKE A MOVE FOR HUNGERWestfield, NJ – May 5, 2015 – One in six Americans struggle with hunger and nearly 400,000 children in New Jersey live in food insecure homes. Beginning the Saturday before Mother’s Day, May 9, The Mavins Group will launch a week-long Move For Hunger food drive in partnership with The National Association of Senior Move Managers to help mothers feed their families. The drive will raise funds and food for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. From May 9 – 16, The Mavins Group is encouraging participants to right-size their homes while supporting those in need and donate non-perishable food items in honor of their mothers. Participants can drop off donated items at Weichert, Realtors®, located at 185 Elm Street in Westfield, New Jersey. There will also be a virtual drop off where participants can make a financial contribution directly to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Suggested food items for donation include soups, non-perishable items such as canned fruits, vegetables and soups, peanut butter, shelf stable milk and more. To kick-off the drive, the Brookdale Shoprite in Bloomfield, New Jersey will host a Pre-Mother’s Day collection on Saturday May 9 from 2p.m. – 6 p.m. The Mavins Group, is a move management and real estate sales company serving the New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area.
